Thanks to Bob Pickard we have pictures of the

      ASA gang just before going to Japan. Some went to

           Fushimi Momoyama and the others to Tokyo.

           Also a picture of the ferry from Frisco and the

                         Daniel I. Sultan, ship of barf.

                                                  

 

 

      Little did anyone know, after boarding the Sultan, that

      there would be a historic snowstorm in Seattle. There

      was a whoopteedoo party in Seattle for the boys, the

      night before setting sail. I should say before the screws

      turned and startled the guys bunked just above the

      screws, in the fantail. The smell of diesel oil didn't help.
